Really take a look at what is troubling you. When you analyze where your stress is really coming from you can reduce it to the size that it really is and not blow it out of proportion. This way you can decide which problems really need addressing and which ones can actually wait or even need to be addressed at all?
Be sure to write things down. Keep a log of how you feel when things happen and when you feel extremely stressed out and anxious. When you write things down you can sometimes become objective and see obvious patterns to avoid in the future. This is something that most don’t think to do but when it is done it really helps to make things crystal clear.

Try some deep breathing exercises. Something that happens automatically when you get stressed out is that your muscles tense up, which also changes your breathing. Go to a quiet place, close your eyes and breathe from your core and not from your chest. You should instantly feel a since of relief and the feelings of calmness come over you.
Don’t try and take too much on. If you are the type of person that does not know how to say the word no, then you need to learn. Saying no will help you to not put too much on your plate. When you take on extra loads of things you stress both your body and mind and the end result will be exhaustion. When you are drained, you don’t function properly and make mistakes that can lead to even more stress. So the lesson here is to manage your time wisely.
You must exercise. If doesn’t have to be strenuous exercise. You can do aerobics, walk, stretch, jog or a variety of other things. The point is to get the body moving. When you are in better physical condition your body is much better equipped to handle stress.
Be confident and self assured. This technique is very old and still works very well. Much of the stress that we experience comes from our own self image. So the next time you feel stress, say positive things about yourself out loud. You will begin to feel more confidence and become more positive overall.
Use your imagination to envision better surroundings. Take the time to see yourself being in the place where you want to be. It can be anywhere that makes you happy and releases you from the burdens that you experience on a daily basis. Create your very own oasis.
Lastly, schedule your worry time. I know that this sounds a little off but stay with me here. Try to section off things that need to be taken care of immediately from the smaller things that can be handled another time. It is generally thoughts about future events that normally trouble someone prone to anxiety and panic attacks. So address them as necessary and get them out of your way.
